Patience Pays Off

This week Cameron shares a hunt that is fresh on his mind. The hunt is so fresh it is only a few hours old.

This hunt takes place in a river swamp bottom with a couple of turkeys that Cameron thinks he let walk the day before. This is a great hunt in the respect that not only did patience pay off with Cameron's passing on a shot the day before, but also that he had the patience to sit and wait at his original setup spot while the turkey he set up on before daylight flew down, walked off, paired up with a buddy, and came back into the area Cameron was set up in.

Turkey Talk with Eddie Salter

This week, The Turkey Man, Eddie Salter, joins Cameron and Andy on the show to share an update on his season and some of his most memorable hunts.

Eddie talks about being on the TK and Mike videos from the early 1990's, and how much fun he had doing those videos. He also shares the story of how he missed 5 turkeys in one day, and how he also played a part of killing 10 turkeys in one day.

We get to hear how he has dedicated this season to his grandchildren, and how they are having a great season. Even his 4 and a half year old grandson has killed a turkey with him this season.

Eddie is always a great deal of fun to chat with, and this episode does not disappoint. Listen in!

Taking Quality Harvest Pictures with Clayton Worrell

This week, Clayton Worrell (aka GrizHawk on InstaGram) joins Cameron and Andy to talk about how we can take better quality harvest photos of our turkeys this spring. 

Clayton is an amazing wildlife photographer who can capture images of wildlife that convey a feeling or emotion that we think the subject animal could be feeling at that moment in time. His images are truly a work of art.

Clayton shares with us how we should frame our harvest pictures in a way that we can refer back to that photo decades later and remember that hunt and that turkey. He also shares with us the importance of cleaning up our turkey to show respect to the bird and to get the best pictures that we can get to share on social media. These images very often go on social media and convey an image of us and our pastime to non hunters. We should want that image conveyed to be a respectful and powerful one.

This week, Cameron and Andy share part 2 of the interview with Kenny Mount, aka Chubbs. They also share some stories, lots of laughs, and some BS with Kenny as well. 

Cameron and Andy riddle Kenny with listener questions that were submitted to Cameron's IG account. Kenny takes the questions in stride and offers quite entertaining and thoughtful answers. 

The guys discuss social media and wild turkeys, slings, cigar smoking, hunting small tracts of land, pet peeves while hunting, and several other topics.

Kenny is always one of the most listened to guests that we have on the show because of his humor, frankness, honesty, and well thought out views on many topics. 

Just like past episodes where Cameron and Andy have interviewed Kenny, this one takes many turns and twists, and there are some great stories as well.

The History of Turpin Custom Game Calls with Steve Turpin

This week, Steve Turpin with Turpin Custom Game Calls joins Cameron and Andy to talk about the history of his great uncle, Tom Turpin, and his great uncle's call company named Turpin Custom Game Calls, which Steve runs today.

Steve shares the audio of an 80 year old box call that his great uncle built and Steve recently acquired. Steve talks about how his great uncle traveled around selling turkey calls and records trying to interest others in the sport of spring and fall turkey hunting. 

This is a fascinating show that I'm sure you will enjoy, at least until Steve gets Cameron and Andy off topic with one simple question.
